Provides a LGBTQIA2S+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual, 2-spirit+) cultural competency training. The program uses an interactive curriculum that addresses appropriate terminology, risk and protective factors for LGBTQIA2S+ youth, new ways of conceptualizing traditional ideas about gender and sexuality, and skills for interrupting bullying and problematic language. Participants will leave with a variety of concrete tools and resources to create safe, supportive environments for all young people and will gain competency around the entire LGBTQIA2S+ population.
