MULTNOMAH COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES
Multnomah County Animal Services (MCAS) picks up injured or aggressive animals and loose livestock, issues dog and cat licenses, conducts cruelty investigations, and enforces animal control laws. Adoption services include shots, licenses, exams, and spay/neuter. Accepts stray animals from Multnomah County, and limited owner-surrendered animals as capacity allows. Provides dead animal removal of strays and wildlife from public property. Volunteer opportunities available. Donations welcome.

INTAKE PROCEDURE: Call or visit website for more information. On weekdays, calling during peak hours from 11am-2pm may result in extended hold times.
FEES: Impound fees: $50 for dogs, $30 for cats and other animals
Boarding fees for impounded animals (daily): $25 for dogs and livestock, $18 for cats
License, impound, and boarding fee reductions available for seniors and low income households.
DOCUMENTS: None required at intake. Proof of ownership, such as veterinarian or license records, required to reclaim animals.
