EARLY HEAD START
Early Head Start services promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of infants and toddlers by providing educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families, including developmental screenings. Services for parents include home visits, parenting classes, parent support and networking.
Full day/full year center-based or home-based models are available.

Eligibility: Pregnant individuals and families with infants and children ages 0-3. Families with incomes at or below 130% FPL are eligible. Children in foster care, homeless children, and children from families receiving public assistance (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), SNAP or Supplemental Security Income (SSI)) are eligible regardless of income. Families with higher incomes and specific needs, may also be eligible. Families with higher needs are prioritized.

FEES: Full-day child care services requires a state subsidy or out of pocket payment. Part-day services are at no cost to eligible families.
