AREA AGENCY ON AGING
Services for Independence (Area Agency on Aging) provides a variety of services, including operation, staffing, and funding of senior meal sites; coordination of Home Delivered Meals (Meals on Wheels); and Respite Care, allowing homemakers and caregivers to remain in their homes through caregiver training, support groups, and supplemental services. Also operates a Representative Payee program, Oregon Project Independence (OPI) and Family Caregiver Support Program (FCSP) as well as bill pay services via the CAPECO/Oregon Money Management Program, Legal Aid services, elder abuse awareness, case management, phone or in-person reassurance, wellness education, and public outreach and education.

Eligibility: Age 60 and older and adults with disabilities. Currently operating the Oregon Project Independence Pilot Project for people with physical disabilities ages 19-59.
