YOUTH OPPORTUNITY CENTER
Provides services to youth at risk of or experiencing homelessness including:
-Food, clothing, hygiene items, and bus tickets
-Engagement activities, including mentoring and specific activities for LGBTQIA2S+ youth
-Referrals to employment programs (job readiness training, work experience, life skills training)
-Referrals to alternative education options, including pursuing a GED
-Information and referrals to housing, health insurance, crisis support, and medical care
-Referrals and resources for gang affected-youth, youth with alcohol and drug addictions, and CSEC youth (Commercially and Sexually Exploited Children)

Where appropriate, can connect youth with employment and education opportunities and programs serving youth transitioning out of foster care that are offered by New Avenues.

INTAKE PROCEDURE: Call Access Center for screening. Youth must first be screened into the Homeless Youth Continuum (HYC). On-site staff can assist youth to connect with HYC for a screening.
