Some examples of when Oregon Project Independence may be appropriate:
-When an individual is in need of personal and home care assistance due to injury or illness
-When an individual has been hospitalized and needs help while recovering in their home
Eligibility:
-Age 60 and older and individuals of any age diagnosed with
Alzheimer's disease or a related disorder
-Ages 19-59 individuals who have physical disabilities and live in one of these specific counties: Benton, Clatsop, Gilliam, Hood River, Jackson, Josephine, Lane, Lincoln, Linn, Marion, Morrow, Multnomah, Polk, Sherman, Tillamook, Umatilla, Wasco, Washington, Wheeler, and Yamhill
-Do not receive Medicaid (financial or medical help) except for Food Stamps (SNAP) or assistance with Medicare premiums
