Provides an animal shelter that cares for homeless, abandoned, or neglected animals. Pets that need to be surrendered are accepted as shelter capacity allows on an emergency basis. Adoptable cats and dogs are spayed or neutered and microchipped before being adopted. Low-cost spay/neuter surgeries are available on a limited basis. Offers pet food for those in need, as available. Accepts pet food donations. Also maintains reports for lost and found pets in Douglas County.

INTAKE PROCEDURE: Call, email, walk in, or visit website for more information. Adoptable pets and applications can be viewed on website. Spay/neuter appointment information available on website or Facebook. Pet food donations can be dropped off during service hours.
FEES: Fees for adoption, stray animals returned to owners, and spay/neuter. Fees are negotiable and may be waived if owners cannot afford them.
