-Independent living skills instruction: Staff provide training in everything from budget management and accessing transportation to good grooming techniques and use of adaptive equipment.
-Advocacy: Staff work with clients on their rights and responsibilities, as well as within the community to promote inclusion of older adults and people with disabilities in all facets of society.
-Information and referral: Staff can provide information on disability- or non-disability-related services and make referrals, if necessary.
-Peer mentoring: Provides opportunities for clients to meet with other people who experience disabilities so they can problem-solve, discuss how to make adjustments, and provide support about the challenges of living with a disability.
