The Bureau sets the rates for garbage and recycling service and establishes rules that regulate the haulers. They also handle customer requests for larger garbage containers or additional cans for low-income households needing to regularly dispose of health-related waste, such as adult incontinence supplies. Households meeting requirements for this service are eligible for extra garbage capacity at no extra cost.
