Call 211 for Help with Finding Child Care

Did you know that 211info has a dedicated child care team who provide free, customized referrals for child care, preschool, behavioral programs, parenting classes, and other family support resources? “We aim to connect all families across Oregon – regardless of income – with programs that provide not just supervision, but also opportunities for enrichment and development for children of all ages,” says 211info Child Care Director, Kerry Wels.

In partnership with the Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care (DELC), 211info child care specialists help families navigate quality care options, and offer guidance on Employment Related Day Care (ERDC), Preschool Promise, Baby Promise and Head Start – including how they work and what’s needed to apply. They can also provide various other local resources to help with food, housing, utility assistance, and much more.

To learn more, check out this video on how the 211info child care line works and why it’s important, from our partners at DELC.
