211 tsunami debris

Update on the 211 Tsunami Debris Hotline [Statewide]

By Matt Kinshella

We were honored that the Governor selected 211 to be the one-stop hotline for reporting Tsunami Debris on the Oregon coast.

We have received a lot of media coverage and are thrilled to be there for Oregonians and coastal visitors who need their questions answered. As of June 2, 73 people have called us. Most of the calls have been generic questions about debris or people asking to be transferred to our state agency partners.

Dial 211 for Tsunami Debris Information

Matt Kinshella, Communications Director

Governor Kitzhaber has announced 211 as the go-to public phone number to get information about tsunami debris on the Oregon coast.

211info is happy to be the one place Oregonians turn with their questions about tsunami debris and thousands of other nonprofit and government community services. 211 was already active in several coastal counties including Lane, Douglas and Lincoln counties but we activated the services in Clatsop, Tillamook Coos and Curry to respond to community need.
