The Washington Post ran a story this week about the Department of Labor's Jobs Corps that will have a local impact:  The Department of Labor has suspended new enrollment into one of the nation’s largest job-training programs for low-income youths, citing cost overruns that critics have blamed on mismanagement.

If you're a regular reader, you know how to protect your child from rotavirus. And now we have more vaccine related information.  Douglas County Health Department has low-cost Tetanus-Diphtheria-Pertussis vaccines available to people without insurance, thanks to a federal grant. Douglas County residents who are 19-64 years old and who do not have insurance are eligible to receive the vaccines. Health officials are vaccinating people at the following locations:
