Why is March a great time to do your taxes? Walk-in tax sites are less busy in March meaning a shorter wait. At CASH Oregon in the Lloyd Center and several other sites, March is when we can prepare prior year returns. AARP Tax Sites can prepare returns back to 2009. Did you know that you can get your refunds back three years! Yippee!

The Register-Guard covered Lane County free kids' car seats program: Sponsors at the once-a-month clinics provide and install free infant or child car seats for families that need them, and help properly install existing car seats, the agency said. The why, when and where:  New kids’ car seats are spendy, costing from about $140 up to $200 or more, depending on the model and features.

I've heard this advice but didn't really know much about it or if it was some sort of old wives' tale. But according to the FDA, grapefruit causes problems when taken with certain medications. Or as they humorously put it: "Sometimes the juice ain’t worth the squeeze…especially when combining grapefruit with medicines."
