The conversation we are having about technology’s role in poverty alleviation can be rather incomplete.   We argue over and over about the technology gap between the rich and poor (I wrote about this topic here) and what that means for service delivery. This gap is shrinking at home and abroad, especially when you look at younger generations. I tend to focus on this fact.

211info, as you know it, is evolving.     From the day we started operating the 211 phone line, providing general information and referral to the community, our goal was to offer better support and guidance to people seeking services than they had ever had before. That is still our priority, but as I mentioned last week the way in which the community needs our support has changed. And we are changing with it.

Lane County OHP
Here's a critical update from Trillium Community Health Plan: Beginning August 1, 2012, Oregon Health Plan (OHP) members who formerly received benefits from Lipa and LaneCare, will receive their healthcare from Trillium Community Health Plan, the Coordinated Care Organization in Lane County. Healthcare benefits for these OHP members will not change and there will be no interruption in service. The only change will be the name of the health plan that manages their care.
