Yamhill County’s health and social service providers ready for resource fair

WHAT'S HAPPENING: Free medical and dental care will be just two of the dozens of services and resources available at the Community Connect fair set for June 20 in McMinnville. Dental treatment will be delivered first to those patients who have infections, swelling and pain; teeth cleaning will also be available. Other free services at this event include pet care, haircuts, nail care and bike repairs. In addition, guests can spend time at the fair finding out how the community can be of help to them in the following areas:
- Emergency shelters
- Housing programs
- Rental assistance
- Free or low-cost medical assistance
- Veterans programs
- Mental health services
- Low-cost weatherization programs
- GED/education opportunities
- Job exploration programs
- Family and child rearing programs
Spanish-speaking service providers will be on hand. Guests will be served on a first come, come first served basis. Bus service will be free throughout the county on the day of the event.
