Workshops build awareness about teens and drug use
WHAT'S HAPPENING: Teens and Drugs: What's the Story?" is a three-hour family workshop to build family awareness about drug, tobacco and alcohol usage in Oregon teens. Presenters will talk about prevention and early intervention resources. Teens are expected to attend with their families. Workshops will be held in various locations in Marion county in February, March, April and May. The March presentation will be done in Spanish. The fee for this workshop is $30 and scholarships are available for people who would otherwise not be able to attend. Call 503-981-2461 to register. All classes run from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.The dates and locations of these workshops are listed below:
- Feb. 27 at Salem Hospital Community Health Education Center, 890 Oak Street SE
- March 19 at Wellspring Center, 1475 Mount Hood Avenue, Woodburn (Presented in Spanish)
- April 23 at Silverton Hospital Family Birthing Center, 342 Fairview St.
- May 29 at Regis High School Library, 550 West Regis St., Stayton
