Well we’re moving on up. To the east side…
211info is settling into our new home on the east side of Portland, and we couldn’t be more excited. Our beautiful new space will allow us to collaborate more efficiently while reducing our footprint.
But the benefits of our move have larger implications for the community.
Saving money to help more people.
Our new nonprofit landlord, JOIN, couldn’t have been more helpful as we moved. And our rent in their remodeled building is significantly lower than in our old space. Less money spent on rent means we can divert those funds to helping connect people to services they need.
Nonprofits working together to maximize investments.
In addition to working with JOIN, we are also working with other nonprofit partners Street Roots and NPower Northwest. All three organizations will be sharing space and office equipment to maximize efficiency and make sure we can spend more resources directly helping people.
Better prepared to handle a disaster.
211 is an effective companion to 911, especially in a disaster. People turn to us for information in non-life-threatening emergencies. Recently, we played this role in updating the community about severe weather. Our new building is designed to resist damage that might be caused by earthquakes and other disasters.
Check out the pictures below for a glimpse into our new space. And if you’d like to see it first hand, schedule a tour.
211info and our new roomies JOIN and Street Roots are also in this years’ Give!Guide. We would greatly appreciate your support, so that we can continue to provide guidance and valuable information to people who are facing life’s challenges.
We are also hiring! Check out our job openings.
