1) Mortgage Payment Assistance Program for the Unemployed

The state is trying to get all of the available applications filled and will keep releasing applications every Wednesday at Noon starting next week Aug. 8th until the beginning of October. 2) Loan Preservation Assistance Program

This program is designed to help homeowners who had problems paying their mortgages, but have since put their hardship behind them and are able to make their mortgage payments, but do not have the funds to clear late fees, missed payments, and such. The program will make a one-time payment of up to $20,000 to reinstate the loan.

Applications are open now until Tuesday Aug 7th and will open each Wednesday at Noon every 2 weeks (Aug 15th will be the next release) until at least October. Please visit the following website for more details: http://www.oregonhomeownerhelp.com/en/homeowner-education-program/lpa-program
