Tax season could mean an extra $5000 in your pocket!

Below are a couple great resources for tax season in Southwest Washington:

The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is a special tax benefit for people who work full or part-time. Even if you don’t owe income tax you can get the credit. But, you must file a federal tax return.

Every year 20-25% of Washingtonians eligible for the EITC don’t collect and that could mean $5000 out of your pocket!

AARP also offers a Free TAXAIDE Program. In Cowlitz County, Super Refund Saturdays will take place January 30 12:30 – 4:30pm at the Longview Public Library, 1600 Louisiana St., Longview (in City Circle by LCC).
