By Deb Kallen, Communications Specialist

Who would turn down free stuff, especially when the free stuff will help you save money? Right now, the Regional Water Providers Consortium, a group of 23 Portland-based water providers, is offering a kit to help offset water usage in homes. Once installed, this kit has the potential of saving a family of four $140 every year while conserving the region’s water.

Here is what the kit of easy-to-use devices includes, along with installation instructions:

  • Bathroom faucet aerator
  • Kitchen facet aerator
  • Shower head
  • Toilet leak detection dye tablets
  • Toilet fill-cycle diverter
