If you're in Central Oregon, there are school immunizations near you!

By Staff

The start of the school year is fast approaching! Deschutes County Health Services reminds parents to make sure their children have the immunizations they need to go to school and stay healthy. It’s not too late-parents and their children can attend shot clinics scheduled for the end of this month!

For children still needing immunizations before the start of school, Deschutes County Health Services, in partnership with local School Based Health Centers, are holding walk-in Back to School Shot Clinics the week of August 29. Any student who attends a public or private school, preschool, childcare facility or Head Start program is required to have vaccines to stay enrolled. Only those who have a religious or medical reason for not being vaccinated are exempt.

Due to improved access to vaccine clinics, Shots for Tots clinics will not be scheduled in the fall. For this reason, please take advantage of the August Back to School Walk-In Clinics.
