Here's the plan for Alzheimer's Disease in Oregon
From Jon at the Alzheimer's Association:
Last year, we held six town hall meetings around Oregon, where we heard from people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, people caring for loved ones with dementia, doctors, professional caregivers, ombudsmen, attorneys, researchers, social workers, and many others. You all told us what you thought should be in the National Alzheimer's Plan and the State Plan for Alzheimer's Disease in Oregon.
Now those plans have been written. Come join us to hear what is in the plans, give us your feedback, and find out how you can help make them a reality.
There will be seven town hall meetings this August across Oregon. Here are the details for each of the events:
Bend - Saturday, August 18th, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm - Bend Senior Center, 1600 SE Reed Market Road, Bend [Flyer (PDF)]
Coos Bay - Thursday, August 9th, 4:00 to 6:00 pm - North Bend Community Center, 2222 Broadway Street, North Bend [Flyer (PDF)]

These town hall meetings are held in collaboraton with the State Plan for Alzheimer’s Disease in Oregon (SPADO) Task Force, which is a project of numerous community partners in Oregon who are concerned about the impact of Alzheimer’s disease on our communities. SPADO Task Force members include state legislators, non-profit organizations, state government agencies, scientific and academic researchers, memory care providers, individual caregivers, and others. The Alzheimer's Association Oregon Chapter provides staffing for the SPADO Task Force.
