Grief Counseling


At some point in our lives we all have to come to terms with a devastating situation. The recent tragedies in Clackamas and Connecticut are situations that will have a lasting effect on many people in our community. In an effort to help those struggling with the aftermath, several community organizations are offering counseling, including:

·    Clackamas County Mental Health Crisis Line: 503-655-8585

·    Multnomah County Mental Health Crisis Line: 503-988-4888

·    Clark County Crisis Line: 360-696-9560

·    Centerstone Clinic: Free support groups every day for the next two weeks from 5pm-6pm at 11211 SE 82nd Ave., Suite 0, Happy Valley, OR 97086. Walk-ins are allowed for these groups, which will focus on trauma response, coping skills and self-care. For more information please call 503-722-6200.

·    Life Christian Center: Providing spiritual help to anyone who would like to speak to a member of their pastoral staff. Please call 503-656-5433.

·    Lifeworks NW: Providing adult mental health counseling, adult and youth addictions treatment, and the ALTA program with a variety of services including case management, supported employment and dual diagnosis treatment for adults dealing with severe and persistent mental illness.
