The Klamath and Lake Counties’ Stand Down will be Friday, June 16, and Saturday, June 17, from 8am-2pm at the Klamath County Fairgrounds Event Center in Klamath Falls. There will be sleepover opportunities available on Friday.
The event features camaraderie for participants, as well as a veterans remembrance ceremony; meals; clothing; haircuts; entertainment; community resources; DID Issue; V.A. benefits counseling; Social Security information; spiritual counseling; SNAP referrals; housing; employment referrals and information; eye exams and glasses; legal assistance and Homeless Courtroom; hearing needs; substance abuse intervention, counseling and referrals; dental services; V.A. triage medical; and V.A. mental health counseling and referrals.
