Multnomah County Sheriff's Office is taking back unwanted prescription drugs

On April 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration will give the public its 13th opportunity in seven years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Bring your pills for disposal to Troutdale Police Community Center at 234 S.W. Kendall Ct. in Troutdale. The DEA cannot accept liquids or needles or sharps, only pills or patches; no thermometers, sharps, syringes, IV bags, bloody or infectious waste, hydrogen peroxide, aerosol cans, inhalers, or epi pens. The service is free and anonymous; no questions asked.
