Vancouver’s severe shortage of affordable housing has made national news. The future of affordable housing will be the topic for the Clark County Commission on Aging, which is hosting a series of 11 discussions focused on affordable housing.
The most recent speaker of this series featured, Andy Silver, who examined policy choices that led to the shortage and what the community can do to overcome housing challenges. Silver is executive director of Council for the Homeless.You can find more information on past and future speakers here.
Meetings will be in the sixth-floor hearing room of the Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St., Vancouver. The presentations begin at 4:30 p.m. and will be open to the public.
