Here’s a great way to start 2016 for people who have a chronic illness. It’s a free six-week class in Vancouver that will provide strategies for taking charge of health conditions like diabetes, depression, high blood pressure or fibromyalgia.

The Living Well with Chronic Conditions classes, presented by the Area Agency on Aging & Disabilities of Southwest Washington, will include:

·         Techniques to deal with pain and fatigue

·         Making better nutrition and exercise choices

·         Understanding new treatment choices

·         Finding better ways to talk with doctors and families about health.

The classes are from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Fridays from Jan. 15 to Feb. 19 at the PeaceHealth Southwest Health Education Center, 400 Mother Joseph Place, Vancouver. To register, call 360-694-8144.
