Have some ice cream and learn how to help homeless families transition from shelter into housing

If you're interested in learning how to help homeless families transition from shelter into housing come check out the Village Support Network program. New City Initiative is hosting this orientation as an introduction to the program, and will provide all the information you need to start a Village Support Network team.

The event will open with an ice cream social and a special screening of New City's recently released short documentary, Keys. The hour-and-a-half orientation includes:

  • an introduction to family homelessness
  • a basic overview of the Village Support Network program and how it works
  • an introduction to the Six Practices of the New City that lie at the heart of their work and mission

So if you're interested, the orientation and screening will take place Tuesday, July 21 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the New City Initiative training center, 1435 NE 81st Ave, Suite 500, Portland, OR 97213. The screening and ice cream social will start at 6:30pm and the orientation will start at 7pm. Click here to register.
