Got drugs? Drug Take Back event in Yamhill set for May 16

Do you have unwanted drugs around your home? Now is your change to get rid of them. You may dispose of your medications on Saturday, May 16, at the following locations:

  • Walgreens in McMinnville (603 SW Baker St.) from 10am to 2pm.

Local law enforcement agencies have also provided receptacles for unwanted medications to be dropped during business hours in the following locations:

  • Amity Fire Department
  • Carlton City Hall, Dayton City Hall
  • Lafayette City Hall
  • McMinnville Police Department
  • Newberg Police Department
  • Sheridan City Hall
  • Yamhill County Courthouse

The Drug Take Back Program offers a free, confidential option to dispose of your unwanted prescription and over the counter medications, including pills, capsules, liquids, pens, creams, ointments and inhalers. You can also drop off unwanted vitamins and pet medications. Keep medications in their original container/package, and drop into the secure receptacle. Items cannot be retrieved once they are dropped.
