To celebrate an amazing 50 years, Vancouver's Marshall Community Center will be hosting a free family dun day filled with swimming, fitness demos, pottery, activities in the gym and more.
The Marshall Center was built in 1965 as a result of a community vision to create an exciting recreation facility for folks of all ages in Vancouver. This year marks 50 amazing years of service and making Vancouver a great place to live. Celebrate this exciting past and bright future with the family on Saturday, May 30, from noon to 5pm.
FREE activities include:
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in honor of 50 great years will take place at 1:30pm.
Noon-1:30pm (160 bracelets hand out at 11am)
1:45-3:15pm (160 bracelets hand out at 12:45pm)
3:30-5pm (160 bracelets hand out at 2:30pm)
*A maximum of 160 swimmers will be allowed at each session.
Demonstrations and hands-on activities will be in the pottery studio from noon-4pm.
A variety of sports activities will take place from 12:30-4:30pm.
The fitness center will be open for ages 13 and up.
Group exercise demonstrations will include:
12:30pm - Barre Fit
2pm - Zumba Kids
2:45pm - U-Jam for Families
Teen SPOT and Game room:
The SPOT and game room will be open to all ages from noon-5pm.
Face Painting from noon-5pm in the oak and elm room.
Storytelling with Pat Jollota from 2-4pm in the oak and elm room.
*Ages 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
