Mental Health Awareness Month: Learn about Trillium Family Services

May has been Mental Health Awareness Month and to celebrate, Trillium Family Services – Oregon’s largest provider of mental and behavioral healthcare – launched a 31 day celebration of the individuals, organizations, businesses and community groups who have helped pave the way for mental and behavioral health to thrive in Oregon.

On May 1, Trillium unveiled all 31 “Keep Oregon Well” Mental Health Heroes , who are featured on Trillium’s new website, which also launched this month. The featured hero for May 1 was Emmy Award winner Sheila Hamilton from Kink Radio.

In addition to the “Keep Oregon Well” Awards, Trillium has launched a four part anti-stigma video campaign starring Portland actress and comedian JoAnn Schinderle.  The “Fight Stigma” video series lampoons the ridiculousness of stigma surrounding mental and behavioral health, asking the question “What if we treated physical health like mental health?” in a variety of comedic scenarios.
