Free basic services are coming to Yamhill county! Whether it’s a health screening, food support or shelter information, find these vital resources and much more at a Community Connect event at Chemeketa Community College, Yamhill Valley Campus, in McMinnville on Friday, May 15.

Here is a more complete picture of the free and confidential services to expect:

  • Medical assistance including basic health screenings, basic dental care, and skin cancer screenings (for guests 21+)
  • Housing services including energy assistance and weatherization
  • Family resources including food support, GED and education assistance, youth programs, and pet assistance
  • Veterans assistance
  • Job search assistance

And more - the list of offered services may grow as the Connect event draws closer because interested providers are still welcome to sign up. Download a service provider registration form here. Forms are due by May 1.

Volunteers and donations are also welcome so that the event runs smoothly and guests are well provided for. Volunteers help in a variety of ways, including: assisting guests at intake, exit, during the event to find services, to distribute lunches, and to assist with setup and take down. Still needed are: pet food donations, flea treatment, spay/neuter vouchers, dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants. Help however you can. All volunteers must sign a Volunteer Liability and Media Release form (click the link to download). Register to be a volunteer here

Event organizers are excited about the new event location at the Yamhill Valley Campus, as it has abundant parking and a direct link to a YCTA bus line. Chemeketa Community College Yamhill Valley Campus is located at 288 NE Norton Ln, McMinnville, OR 97128.
