Providence Portland offers free head, neck, and oral cancer screenings April 29

Painful neck anatomy

Wearing a helmet when we bike is conventional wisdom. We wear helmets to prevent harmful bumps and bruises, but often forget about other risks. More than 100,000 cases of oral, head and neck cancer are diagnosed in the U.S. each year. Don’t be one of those cases: get screened at a Providence Cancer Center event on April 29.

Screenings for oral, neck, and head cancer take just a few minutes, and are free at this Providence event. Come to the Jill Lematta Learning Library at the Providence Portland Medical Center (4805 NE Glisan St, Portland, OR 97213) from 9am - 5pm.

Registration is strongly recommended. Register online or by calling the Providence Resource Line at (503) 574-6595.

Helmets underscore the value we place on a healthy, functioning mind. Let health screenings do that too. Register now and get screened on April 29.
