Portland is a city full of dynamic companies with teams full of talent and purpose, a business culture based on principles - not just profit - has developed and thrived. It’s inspiring. The problem? Everyone wants in. Stand out from the rest: put a face to your resumé as you network with over 60 of Portland’s most desirable companies at a long-established career fair of repute. Attend the Urban League of Portland’s 22nd annual Career Connections event.
Dress like you mean it, and come with your resumé to the Doubletree Hotel near Lloyd Center on Wednesday, April 22, from 10am-3pm ready to network with a diverse group of companies. These employers want to dialogue with you about your qualifications in filling their current position openings.
In opportunities ranging from entry level to professional, management to executive, and construction and retail to government and corporate positions, talk to company representatives who can get you hired. You could even end up interviewing for an opening on the spot depending on how the conversation progresses.
Attending employers include: Portland General Electric, Kaiser Permanente, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, NECA-IBEW, US Bank, TriMet, Country Financial, Oregon & Southern Idaho Laborers, Constructing Hope, Oregon Trades Woman Inc., Life Works NW, and many more. In past years, the Urban League has connected satisfied employers such as PGE, OHSU, and the State of Oregon with diverse candidates from among its longtime partner organizations through its role as a leading voice for equity in Portland.
Attendance is free, and open to the public. As a bonus, the Urban League will provide you with a free professional profile photo for use on employment related social networks, courtesy of Photography by Reba.
