Yummy and healthy meals on a budget? Sure it’s possible - and within your reach. Let the Fresh Start Team show you and your family the basics of cooking without compromise at a free seminar on March 21 at North Portland’s Celebration Tabernacle Church.

The high calorie, low nutrition American diet poses dangerous health risks that we don’t need to live with. The Fresh Start Team believes that we all can learn to improve our health with the right information and support. In that spirit, the team is bringing two nutrition and health experts to the Mahalia Jackson Hall inside Celebration Tabernacle Church (8131 N. Denver Ave. Portland, OR, 97217) from 10-11:30am.

Dr. Steven Bailey, nationally renowned Naturopathic Physician, lecturer and author of Juice Alive; and Amy Rutherford-Close, fitness columnist for examiner.com, certified personal trainer, sports nutritionist, wife and mother, will share their extensive knowledge surrounding diet and disease prevention. Feel free to ask all your health and lifestyle questions. Members of the Fresh Start Team and the two speakers will be on hand for discussion. Don’t miss out on the free healthy snacks for attendees and even a free door prize.

Fresh Start encourages you to bring your whole family to the seminar, including your children. They will have a blast learning about the benefits of healthy eating and exercise as they participate in Kids Club.
