Mental Health First Aid classes in Stevenson

Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health related crisis.

In the Mental Health First Aid course, participants learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.

The eight-hour course helps participants not only gain confidence in their capacity to approach and offer assistance to others, but also to improve their own personal mental health. There are two upcoming training opportunities at the Rock Creek Hegewald Center (710 SW Rock Creek Dr, Stevenson, WA 98648).

Mental Health First Aid for Youth on Thursday, Nov. 12, from 8am to 5pm.

Mental Health First Aid for Adults on Monday, Nov. 30, from 8am to 5pm.

These sessions are a part of a Southwest Behavioral Health grant project, so are being offered at no-charge. For more information, please contact Hahli Clark at 360-442-2611 or Leeann Curry at 360-442-2840.
