Spread the word to folks you know, or apply today; Here is a fantastic opportunity to get into the exciting field of finance - and age is an asset. Applicants aged 50 or older are encouraged to register for a training program that could launch your career in financial services.

Step into teller and customer service specialist positions among other roles confidently. Lane Community College Small Business Development Center, WorkSource Lane, and Lane County banks and credit unions have collaborated to create a training curriculum to bring applicants up to speed. 

Take a look at these minimum qualifications to judge your eligibility: 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills 
  • Age 50 or older
  • Desire to work in financial services

Keep in mind that these positions are entry-level, yet the experience gained could lead to numerous opportunities in the industry. 

Interested? WorkSource Lane (2510 Oakmont Way, Eugene, OR) invites you and all interested applicants to one of five Wednesday afternoon orientation sessions on the following dates from January through March: 

  • January 21
  • February 4 
  • February 18
  • March 4 
  • March 11

All sessions are from 2-3:30 pm.
