Kaiser Permanente to offer free kids' dental clinics

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month, and for both the clueless and clued-in with kids, that’s great news thanks to children’s dental clinics courtesy of Kaiser Permanente Northwest.

These “Give Kids A Smile” clinics at seven of Kaiser Permanente’s dental offices throughout Oregon and southwest Washington are free and on a first come, first served basis. Services include dental sealants, fluoride varnishes, and vaccinations for low-income, uninsured, or underinsured children throughout the region.

All seven clinics take place on February 7 from 8 am - 1 pm at office locations listed below. Kaiser Permanente dental offices have the capacity to provide dental services for 800 children and vaccinations for 525 children.

The bottom line: Dental sealants and fluoride varnishes are safe, effective, and painless ways to prevent cavities. Additionally, in Oregon, children who haven’t received their vaccinations by Feb. 18 can’t attend classes.

Reasons to attend are plentiful, so get ready by finding a participating location near you.
